The advantages of a virtual server

Besides performance and flexibility, there are of course many other reasons for using a virtual server. Several virtual servers are located on the dedicated host server and share its performance such as the hard disk, the cores and the main memory. Of course, a vServer is not shared with other customers - only the hardware resources of the host system are divided. In this way, each server administrator works independently of other users.

  • Easy scalability

In contrast to server hardware, which has to be bought and installed with the server switched off, you can upgrade your virtual server to a more powerful product with one click and within a few seconds.

  • Node.js, Python, .NET and co

Since you decide for yourself what runs on your server, you are also completely free when it comes to the use of tools, various web technologies, as well as programming and scripting languages.

  • High availability

A redundant IT infrastructure, which includes power supply, air conditioning, internet carriers and storage, guarantees your server a high availability of 99.9%.

  • Lower operating costs

By having fewer physical servers and more virtual machines in your business, you reduce your power consumption and general operating costs and benefit from a professional data centre.

The right VPS for your project

The requirements for a server are sometimes so varied that it is quite difficult to make the right choice. In contrast to shared hosting, for example, a VPS/vServer is better suited for larger web projects with more visitors. We would like to support you in this decision as best as possible with our product categories.

All benefits at a glance

  • Flexibility & scalability

Since our products are designed to be very flexible, you will find a suitable server for your project depending on your requirements. If your requirements change, you can upgrade to another product at any time. Further flexibility results from a contract term of one month.

  • Full control and freedom

Your virtual private server belongs (as the name suggests) to you alone as the only user. You get full root rights and decide for yourself which applications you want to run on your server and you also have full freedom over their configuration.

  • performance

All VPS/vServers exclusively use SSD hard drives and run on the latest hardware generation from DELL PowerEdge. By selecting the correct category you can further optimise the performance of your server for your application.

  • Traffic flatrate*

With our traffic flat rate, you no longer have to worry about the traffic of your VPS. You will not incur any additional costs due to any peak loads. As your VPS provider, we guarantee that your server has a peak bandwidth of 120 Mbps.

  • Operating systems

Choose the operating system you prefer to work with. From Debian to Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and CentOS to Windows Server, all options are open to you. You can reinstall your operating system at any time or switch to another one from the same line (Linux / Windows).

  • Automated backups

You don't want to organize the backup of your data yourself? Then you are on the safe side with our automated backups. These are available to you for the last 7 days, you can simply mount them as a device. Automated backups are available as an add-on.

  • Snapshots

With this function you can take snapshots of your server as needed. Unlike automated backups, you choose the time at which the snapshot is taken. Snapshots can be easily restored via Plesk. This function is available to you as an addon .

  • Windows licenses included

If you decide on a Windows server, you don't have to worry about a corresponding Windows license. This is included with us. With the SPLA licenses used, you will always automatically receive the latest version.

  • Plesk Obsidian

Plesk is a control panel that helps you manage your VPS. For example, you can install applications via Plesk or manage your websites. The editions Web Admin, Web Pro and Web Host will soon be available as add-ons.

  • Fair price

Thanks to our individual product design, you only pay for what you really need. A monthly contract period ensures that you are not bound by any contract if you no longer need your VPS at some point.

  • Resilience

Our redundant IT infrastructure ranges from uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to air conditioning and internet carriers, to the storage setup of the individual server nodes. So we can guarantee you an availability of 99.9%.

  • IPv4/v6 addresses

Your virtual server includes an IPv4 and an IPv6 address by default. If you need more IPv4 addresses, you can book them as an add-on to your VPS shortly.

  • Lower operating costs

By using virtual servers, physical servers are hardly needed in your company. In this way, you reduce your operating and infrastructure costs and benefit from a professional, fail-safe data center that meets the highest security standards.

  • Docker ready

Use the advantages of Docker and run your applications in your own Docker containers as required. In addition to hosting applications, you can of course also host your own Docker registry.

  • Ubuntu Logo
    Windows Server Logo
    CentOS Logo
    Debian Logo

Useful extensions

If you value the flexibility and freedom of a virtual server, but don't want to take care of backup and co., our add-ons might be just the thing for you. You can book this separately for every VPS.

  • Automated backup

You store important information on your server and want to back it up automatically and regularly, but don't want to worry about setting up a backup mechanism yourself? Then this addon could be what you are looking for.

With this extension, information on your server is backed up daily and all backups are kept for 7 days. You can restore your backups as a whole if necessary or mount the backup as a device.

  • Snapshots and Restore

With this extension you can take up to 5 snapshots of your server as needed. In contrast to the automated backup, you choose the point in time at which the snapshot is taken.

This is always useful when you make major restructuring changes to the server and would like to save a working image that you can switch back to in an emergency. The snapshots of your server can be easily restored via Plesk. They are available for a further 7 days after creation and are then automatically deleted.

  • Plesk Obsidian

Our free control panel is of course available to you for the general administration of your server. You can use it to import backups, reinstall or restart.

With Plesk Obsidian you also get a comprehensive, but easy-to-use control panel for everything that is directly on your server itself. This enables you, for example, to manage websites or applications that you host on your server.

  • Additional IPv4 addresses

Our basic products already include an IPv4 address. You can also add your own IPv6 address at any time. This is very easy to do via Plesk.

If you need another IPv4 address, you can also book this as an add-on to your server after your initial order. This addon will be available for you shortly.

  • When is a backup created?

The data backup is created every day, usually between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. The exact time and the duration of the data backup always depends on the amount of data we backup for your cloud server.

    How is this backup saved?

All data are stored on an extra backup system and are therefore stored completely separately from your cloud server.

How long is a backup kept?

We save the data for 10 days. On the first day we create a full backup, on the next 9 days a so-called incremental backup.

Does the backup count towards my storage space?

No, the backup does not count towards your storage space on the cloud server. We always back up the entire server, it doesn't matter whether you use 1GB or 600GB of storage space.

How can I access the backup?

The backup is accessed via your CloudPit account. You can find further details in the article "How can I access the data backup of my cloud server?"
